SLOGAN: Beyond Our Roots

MISSION STATEMENT: To provide our group members sustainable job for the benefit of the  development of community.

                                        To provide a high quality traditional acapella music to the local and international fans by using natural voices with a minimum instruments.

VISION: To see ourselves performing in an International level and Act as a role models to the youth of the world.

BIOGRAPHY:The group was formed in 2007,in Khayelitsha,BM section Informal Settlement by Masizakhe  Richard Kewana , with help of 8 members. Their aim was to reduced crime around the area, as Un-employment,Drug abuse  was high among the youth.

It consists of 9 males, singing Isicathamiya, with their pure natural voices(Traditional Acapella Music).

The group is currently staging at Simon'stown on Weekends,to make a living,as 70% of the them are Un-employed.

Since formed we have been performed on these Events:

1. 6 X shows during Fifa world in 2010,South Africa,entertaining soccer fans, in fan walks and Cape Town International Airport. 

2. 2 X shows at Infecting the City Festival in Cape town in 2011,singing Amagwijo(initiation songs).

3. 4 X shows in Absa Kknk festival at Oudtshoorn in 2011.

4. On the 20th of Febuary 2014 sharing the stage at Guga S'thebe with Inchoir from UK.

5.On the 23rd of May 2014,welcoming the students and teachers from USA,at Cape town International Airport,in Cape town.

6. On the 23rd of September 2014, host a Choir from Denmark called Papaya in Langa  Gugas"thebe doing a workshop,for cultural  exchange. 

7.We have been performing live at V&A Waterfront Amphitheater,for the launch of Cape town Fringe Festival on the 24th of September 2014.

8.We had 4 x shows in Cape Town Fringe Festival on the 25/26/28 of September 2014,at German Club Cape Town.

9.On the 21st of Febuary 2015 ,performed in Franschoek,  at the wedding for the Spanish couple.

10.On the 28th of Febuary 2015,performed in George,at the wedding for the UK couple.

11.On the 4th of December 2015,we had a promo shoot hosted by Selim Kagee ( classic artist),facilitated by Community Media Trust, at Guga s"thebe  in Langa  Cape Town.

12. On the 8th of Febuary 2016 have performed at the Wedding in Stellenbosch at Molenvliet.

13.On the 10th of Febuary 2016,we made a music video with the company called THE FORT, at Worcester Game reserve.

14.On the 20th of April 2016,had performed at Spier , in the  CENA GALLER DINNER.

15. On the 25th of June 2016,had Cultural Exchange of Music with USA choir at Guga s''thebe in Langa Cape Town.

16.On the 24th of September 2016,Performed at Kraaifontein Arts Festival,live at Adwa Caffee in Wallacedene.

17.On the 17th November 2016,performed in Molenvliet,Stellenbosch at the wedding.

18.On the 30th of December 2016,performed at Cape point Vine yard,at the wedding.

19.On the 7th of Febuary 2017,performed at the wedding in Zorgvliet, Stellenbosch

20.On the 25th of Febuary 2017,performed at the wedding in Cape point Vine yard.

21.On the 28th of  March 2017,performed at the wedding in Backsberg wine estate,Franschoek.

22.On the the 1st of April 2017,performed at the wedding in Apostoles Hotel,Campsbay.

23.On the 2nd of April 2017, performed at wedding in  Houtbay &  City Hall for International Elite Awards.

24.On the 4th of April 2017,performed at the wedding in Buiternwachting, in Constatia.

25.On the 15th of April 2017,performed at the wedding in   Cavalli Estate in Somerset.

26.We had 2x shows for CAPE TOWN FRINGE FESTIVAL on 23rd and 24th of September 2017,at Alma Cafe,Rose bank.

27.On the 22nd of December 2017, had a wedding performance at Boschendal wine estate,in Stellenbosch. 

28.On the 08th of Febuary 2018,hosted a USA choir at Langa in Gugas'thebe,for cultural exchange workshop. 

29.On the 19th of Febuary 2018,performed at the wedding,in Babylonsteron,Klapmuts.

30.On the 17th of March 2018,performed at the wedding,in Vrede En Lust,Franschoek.

31.On the 7th of April 2018,performed at the wedding,in Embassy Hill,Constantia.

32.On the 24th of September 2018,performed  at IZIKO  SA MUSEUMS(Company Gardens area):

33.On the 17th of May 2019,performed in International Museum Day,at Langa in Gugas'thebe.

34.On the 08th of November  2019,performed  in Challenge Cape Town we are Triathlon,at Cape Castle.

35.On the 19th&20th of November 2019,performed at Infecting the City Festival  in SiGeorge's Square,in Cape town. 

36.On the 24th September 2022,performed in Delft, for heritage day.

37.We are currently busking in Stellenbosch from Monday to Saturday, between 19:00 -21:00
